Baylor wins out for Nance
SAN ANTONIO - The U.S. Army All-American Bowl attracted more than 90 of the nation's top football prospects to participate in the elite event. For many, just being able to play on the national stage is a dream of a lifetime.

Euless (Texas) Trinity linebacker Brian Nance was able to make it even more special, though. The nation's No. 140 overall prospect decided to announce his decision on where to attend college live on the NBC broadcast. After narrowing his choices to Arkansas, Baylor, UCLA and USC, he ultimately decided to stay in his home state.
"I'm committing to Baylor," the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Nance said. "I like the coaching staff a lot. The players there, they're like one big family too. I really want to be around a program that all supports each other like that."
In addition, Nance likes the idea of being able to possibly follow in the footsteps of an NFL Hall of Fame linebacker that also played at Baylor.
"I also really like the tradition of linebackers over there," he said. "They've had good linebackers but they haven't had another Mike Singletary since he was there a long time ago. I want a chance to make my name like that."
Nance is the second four-star prospect, in addition to speedy wide receiver Corey Coleman, to commit to the Bears. He is excited about the potential of the rest of the class as well.
Click Here to view this Link."They have a good recruiting class coming in," he said. "I think we'll be able to have a positive effect on the program pretty early there. There is a lot of talent in this class."
Though he has pledged to Baylor, Nance does say he still would like to use some of his official visits.
"I still am planning to take my visits just to make sure and everything," he said. "I'm going to Baylor but I'm also going to go to Arkansas and UCLA."
