Baylor hanging on to Edwards

Word floated around this past week that Brownsboro, Texas offensive tackle Lonnie Edwards was not just a soft commitment for Baylor but completely off the table for the Bears. However, the talented East Texan put those rumors to rest.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder explained this past weekend that he is in fact still committed to the Bears. He has taken one official visit since giving that pledge to Texas Tech in the middle of November. Some more may be coming up but him de-committing apparently was nothing but talk.

"Yes sir, I'm still committed," Edwards said. "I don't have any other visits lined up right now either. I would like to get out to LSU. A lot of school have great stuff. I mean everybody wants to go out and see a Texas Tech or an LSU. I'm just looking for the place I feel the most comfortable."
The Baylor coaches have also made Edwards feel comfortable about this big decision. There hasn't been any pressure from the staff to feel bad for taking trips.
"We talk regularly," Edwards said about the Baylor coaches. "They just keep telling me to make sure and take my visits so I know how I feel about everything."
Oklahoma State and LSU were the two most recent schools to come by for in-home visits. No others have been planned at this point.
