Baylor commit eying trips

Kameron Martin committed to Baylor early and is completely satisfied with everything the Bears have to offer, but that hasn't stopped other schools from pursuing him.
The four-star all-purpose back has been hearing from Alabama, Auburn and Georgia, among others, and has a few visits planned for this spring.

"Everyone is in my inbox," Martin said. "I have 11 months to make my decision and other coaches are coming after me hard."
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect from Port Arthur, Texas, was a standout performer at the Rivals Speed & Skill Challenge Presented by Under Armour last weekend in Houston, showing the versatility that has Baylor very excited to have him as part of the recruiting class.
"They offered me in ninth grade and they stayed loyal," Martin said. "Their success played a major factor in my choice. Them winning the Big 12 in back to back years made it an easy decision for me. Why go to a school out of state when you can have a team in state that's in the top four every year?
"They handle their business for sure. I look forward to joining that offense and playing as a true freshman."
Martin, the No. 1-rated all-purpose back in the Rivals250, has already started thinking about official visits. Baylor will definitely get one, but Auburn and Georgia probably will as well. USC, which signed a pair of running backs out of Texas two months ago, and Oregon have also been showing interest.
"Coach (Johnny) Nansen at USC has told me they want to come check me out my senior year and come at me hard," Martin said. "They want a chance to get me."
Martin intends to gather more information in the coming months before deciding where he'll take trips. Still, he said he's certainly listening to what other coaches have to sell.
"I have to," Martin said. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I'm taking some visits this summer to Auburn, Georgia and probably Texas. I also might get out to Texas Tech. I'm looking forward to seeing the facilities and seeing something different."
