Bay City OL gets first offer

There must be something in the water in Bay City, Texas. It seems like every year the school in South Texas seems to produce a ton of prospects. This year is no exception. With quarterback Scott Elliott already committed to Tulane, it’s time to focus on Bay City’s other D-I prospect – offensive tackle Garret Miller.
“I had a great camp at Texas and just recently received an offer from UTEP,” Miller, who is 6-foot-7, 224 pounds and has a 40-yard dash time of 5.0 seconds, said. “I also attended the one day cap at Tech and will be attending the Arkansas and Colorado senior camps.”

Miller said he also had a busy May with calls coming in from Texas Tech, Northwestern, Purdue, Arkansas and others that he couldn’t remember.
“I guess if you had to put my teams down on a list, it would be Texas, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa and Northwestern,” Miller said.
Miller is a player that has an amazing frame and might be one of the better sleeper prospects to watch for in the state of Texas for the Class of 2004. If he fills into his frame and keeps his footwork, then he could be a monster offensive tackle prospect.
