Bauta lists two leaders

Fresh off an official visit to Duke, offensive lineman Izzy Bauta has listed two schools at the top of his list. Who is the Brooklyn (N.Y.) Poly Prep prospect looking at the hardest?

"I'd say my two favorites are probably Duke and Ohio State right now," said the 6-foot-4, 275-pound lineman. "I'm still considering Maryland, but after taking visits to those three schools I'd probably rate them a notch lower."

What did Bauta do while he was on his official visit to Duke?

"My brother is a redshirt freshman at Duke, so he was my host. I had already been down there a couple of times, so it was basically looking at the same things again and getting to meet the new coaches. They've got a new offensive line coach and I think he's going to do a good job. With their coaches and the academics I think it would be a good fit for me."

Bauta also has official visits lined up to Rutgers (Jan. 16) and South Florida (Jan. 23) in the next two weeks. When can we expect a decision?

"I plan on having a decision ready pretty much right after the South Florida visit," he said. "When I'm done with that I might take a day or two to decide, or I might be ready to go ahead an announce right then. But I don't think I'll wait until the end."
