Battles feels Big Ten offers may come soon

Milwaukee (Wis.) Vincent lineman Adrian Battles is having an excellent season as is his team. Vincent has begun the state playoffs after winning eight of nine regular season games.
Battles made 53 tackles including eight sacks during the regular season. He also had 47 'pancake' blocks, an outstanding number for a center.

Recruiters have noticed his fine play.
"A lot have been calling lately," Battles said. "But I really like Wisconsin and Indiana. I think they are going to offer real soon.
"A lot of others have come into the picture lately. Tennessee, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame is still in the picture, and Northwestern and Purdue lately.
"And I got a message from a Michigan coach a couple of days ago, but I haven't got a chance to call him back yet.
"I'm going to the Wisconsin-Minnesota game in two weeks."
The 6-foot-2 and 233 pound Battles is the No. 7 prospect in the state of Wisconsin in the Rivals.com player rankings. Battles said he does not have a favorite school at this time, but the Badgers may be tough to beat if they extend a scholarship offer.
