Battle brewing for Herron

Warren (Ohio) Harding junior running back Daniel Herron is one of the best in the Buckeye state.
The 5-foot-10 and 190-pound Herron rushed for just over 1600 yards and 18 touchdowns during his junior season. He averaged over seven yards per carry.

Daniel's brother David is a key contributor for the Michigan State Spartans, but that doesn't mean Daniel is a lock to head to East Lansing. In fact right now it seems unlikely Daniel will follow his older brother.
"Right now I'm looking at Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Miami of Florida, and really all the Big Ten schools," Daniel said. "I would like to go someplace in the Big Ten.
"Michigan State offered about a month ago. Boston College, Illinois, and Indiana have offered."
When asked if he has a favorite, Daniel said, "I'd say I like Penn State a lot. It's the Big Ten and they have a good program and a good coach.
"I've been to Ohio State, Michigan, and Pitt. I'm supposed to go to Penn State March 25. Boston College wants me to come out there too.
"I really like Penn State, but I like Ohio State a lot too. Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, those are my top ones right there."
It looks like Daniel will wait and see if any or all of those schools offer a scholarship.
"I'd say I'll make my decision around the middle of the season or toward the end," Daniel said.
