Three-star defensive end Ben Bass is planning on a Monday decision between most likely two schools – Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
The 6-foot-4, 263-pounder, rated as the No. 48 overall prospect in the state of Texas, says that right now the Aggies have the edge. Bass will make his final decision and call the coaches to inform them of his decision Monday at noon.
"I plan on talking everything over with my parents tonight and I'll probably get it done tomorrow," Bass said. "I just plan on calling the coach, telling them I'm making a commitment, and go from there. I'm not doing any press conference or anything."
Bass says he got down to those two schools after visiting both. A&M has the slight edge after getting a chance to come down for what appeared to be a great visit.
"I saw practice, I saw the coaches interacting with the players, and the whole thing was just something I felt comfortable with," Bass said. "OU was the same thing and the players really said that they felt like they made the right decision."
While both schools look to be the final two, Bass says that he's still factoring in all the schools that have offered him. Basically, a surprise is possible.
"It's going to come down to each detail and how each visit went," Bass said. "I'm looking at how the coaches treated me, how the players treated me, the facilities, and what kind of education I can get there."
