Bass impressive in big win

We had a chance to check out Ryan Bass in action last weekend as his Corona (Calif.) Centennial squad took on a very talented Encino (Calif.) Crespi. Bass put on a show and was the best player on the field on this night.
In a game that featured several Div I players on both sides of the ball, Bass was the star of stars. He finished the game with 214 yards on 41 carries and scored four touchdowns.

It wasn't just the numbers Bass put up, it was the way he ran and how impressive he looked. Bass is so quick through the hole and very strong. He has a great burst, can change direction and is tough to break down.
We had always compared Bass to former Centennial RB Terrell Jackson in terms of size and running style. After seeing Bass once more, we think his upside is much better than Jackson.
Bass is quicker, stronger, runs harder and more of a breakaway threat. At 5-10, 190 pounds, Bass wears down opposing teams and gets stronger as the game goes on. Three of his four touchdowns came in the fourth quarter to put the game away for Centennial.
On the recruiting front, Bass visited Arizona State on an unofficial visit Saturday and the Sun Devils are leading comfortably right now. Teh athlete will visit Ole Miss this weekend followed by Minnesota (Sept. 28) and Iowa State in December.
