Bass down to eight schools

"I have about 36 offers," Jackson, Mich., standout Antonio Bass said. "I think I've got it down to about eight."
"I've got Michigan, Syracuse, Florida, Notre Dame, LSU, Virginia Tech, USC, and Michigan State. They all offered."

"I didn't go to any camps this summer. But I visited Florida, and I went to Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State."
"I'll probably make official visits to Virginia Tech and Syracuse. That's the only two I know for sure. Those aren't my favorites, they're farther away. Right now I'd say Michigan is my favorite."
"I'll probably go to the Notre Dame-Michigan game. And probably the Michigan-Ohio State game."
The 6-foot-2 and 190 pound Bass rushed for 909 yards and 13 touchdowns during his junior season and passed for 471 yards. He is the Rivals.com number three "athlete" prospect and the number two overall prospect in the state of Michigan.
"All of them are recruiting me as an athlete," Bass said. "I want to play quarterback."
"What position I play will be important in my decision. And where I can play fast. Academics and good coaches will be important. Coaches I can talk to and feel comfortable with."
"I wanted to decide before school starts, but I'm not sure about that now."
