Barwick prepping for Wisconsin trip

Cincinnati (Ohio) Summit Country Day's Michael Barwick has been off the campus tour scene for the last month, but the three-star defensive tackle will attend his first spring game of the year on Saturday.
"I have a visit coming up at Wisconsin on April 13," Barwick said. "I am very excited and am just looking forward to see how they run things out there as well as getting to meet the coaching staff. I have been getting mail from them for awhile and got invited to some games last year, but never got a chance to make it up."

The 6-foot-1, 270-pound Barwick is also hoping this weekend's visit propels his recruitment with the Badgers to the next stage.
"I've just been getting a lot of letters from them, but nothing too serious," Barwick said. "I don't know what's going on as far as where I am on their recruiting board."
Seven schools have already offered Barwick and they are Indiana, Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Kent State, Toledo and Western Michigan. He continues to draw new interest as the Spring Evaluation Period approaches.
"I have been talking with Duke and Boston College," Barwick said. "I've been talking to my recruiting coaches from those schools and they want to get me down there to check out their campus."
Barwick does not have any more spring visits planned, but he does expect to travel to several schools over the summer.
