Barton picking up solid offers

Sean Barton was told by his coach at Woods Cross, Utah that his recruitment would pick up pretty quickly but even the 6-foot-3, 205-pound safety did not expect this kind of attention.
Stanford, BYU, Utah and Utah State have offered so far and Barton said he's hearing from UCLA, Nebraska, Georgia Tech and others.

The Utah standout admits it's an exciting time but he plans to take things slowly especially since he still hasn't taken many visits.
"There really isn't a favorite right now," Barton said.
"I'm just trying to figure everything out. I'm hoping to make my decision before my senior season starts."
After his junior season it became pretty clear that his recruitment was about to get a lot busier.
Barton finished with 120 tackles (15 for loss) along with six interceptions and three sacks on defense. At running back, he rushed for 1,316 yards and 20 touchdowns.
"When I was a sophomore my coach told me to expect some stuff like this but it's coming a lot faster than I thought," Barton said.
"It's really exciting but I have a lot of work to do. It's really cool so far."
Some trips are coming up for Barton, who also caught 23 passes for 359 yards and two scores this past season.
The Woods Cross standout plans to attend junior days at Stanford, BYU and Utah and trips to Ohio State and Michigan are also being scheduled. After those visits, Barton might have a better idea where his recruitment is headed.
"It's still early for me," Woods said. "I haven't made any decisions yet."
