Bartley lands local offer

Three-star defensive end Lyric Bartley committed to Washington State last week but it appears a program closer to home won't let him leave without at least making an attempt.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pound prospect from Taylorsville, Utah, added an offer from Utah on Tuesday -- just three days after committing to the Cougars.
Bartley had a very productive senior season, totaling 61 tackles -- including 18 for a loss -- and scored five touchdowns on offense.
He picked Washington State over offers from Purdue and Vanderbilt, and officially visited the Cougars this past weekend.
Blessed to say I've been offered by the University Of Utah 🔴⚫️ #GoUtes— 9️⃣ (@lyricbartley_99) December 8, 2015
IN HIS WORDS: "Honestly, this [new offer] doesn't change it at all," Bartley told "I'm loyal to WSU."
WHAT'S NEXT?: It might be too early to tell whether the skilled pass rusher would completely rule out any other programs but it certainly appears that the Cougars made a lasting, unbreakable impression. Bartley visited the Utes during the season but it seems as if the offer arrived a few days too late.
