Barrow compares first two visits

Dublin (Ohio) Coffman defensive tackle Alex Barrow returned home from Maryland Sunday night and enjoyed his second trip of the recruiting season. He now has two visits under his belt, but plans to take all five before selecting a college.
“It was good,” he commented. “It was a nice town. Everything was in walking distance of campus. It would be a nice place to live.” He was hosted by freshman running back J.P. Humber and declined to rate the trip.

“I only have one visit to compare it to right now, so I really don’t feel comfortable rating it,” he said. “Pitt was more of a big city, but Maryland was more where the college is the town.”
While the schools he visited were entirely different, he said they both fulfilled his top priority in a school.
“I am just looking at the overall feel, and how I feel around the people. They were both good in those areas.” Barrow plans to visit Ohio State (Jan. 9), Michigan State (Jan. 16), and Northwestern (Jan. 23) before making a decision. He has already had in-home visits with Northwestern and Pitt, and doesn’t have any others scheduled.
At 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, Alex runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds and is rated the No. 38 defensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com.
