Barrie likes fans on Florida unofficial

Rivals250 offensive tackle Jim Barrie out of Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep headed to Gainesville this weekend for an unofficial visit. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder took in the Gators 34-7 pounding of Florida State. What were his thoughts on the unofficial visit?
"The atmosphere there was great as I had a really fun time with some friends," he said. "I was really impressed by how pumped up the Swamp gets, it's almost incomparable and very impressive. After the game I got to talk to coach John Hevesy and met some of the linemen in the locker room. They basically talked to me about the game and the offensive line situation at Florida.

"I know they are loosing like four guys on the line, so there is a great opportunity to play there. I was definitely impressed with how they handled Florida State too. The offense and defense were pretty impressive."
The four-star prospect has finally scheduled an official to Gainesville for this upcoming weekend.
"I just want to go and talk to the players and coaches," he said. "I hope to get comfortable with them on my visit."
Barrie kept a close eye on the Gators competition this weekend as Florida State is another team he's considering.
"They have so many injuries on that team they have become crippled," he said. "They need offensive linemen bad and that's something for me to look at. We'll have to see how they do in the ACC championship next week."
As for a decision, the No. 14 offensive tackle in the country confirmed he'd like to get it done by Christmas.
