Barnett keeping busy with visits

Public opinion on Jalin Barnett says the four-star guard will eventually commit to either Arkansas or Oklahoma. Barnett has named the two programs as his favorites in the past, so the line of thinking isn't exactly a guess.
But with a recent visit to Oklahoma State now in the rearview, Barnett says he would like to name an additional frontrunner.

"I liked it there," Barnett said on Tuesday night. "I'd say Oklahoma State is in that mix now."
Being in the mix is one thing. Being able to unseat the Razorbacks and Sooners as the true frontrunners is quite another. That task, it seems, will be difficult. Barnett has an official visit to Oklahoma planned for the coming weekend, and what he sees on that trip will likely have a dramatic effect on his decision.
Whether or not that effect is positive or negative for the Sooners is to be determined.
"I'm really just looking to see how they do against Baylor," Barnett said. "How they play and how well they play."
Barnett's official visit to Arkansas took play in September. Still, that doesn't mean that the Lawton (Okla.) High School standout is done inspecting the campus. He plans to get a final look before locking in on a decision.
"I'm going to get back out there for another visit," Barnett said. "With Arkansas, I really liked how the introduced academics to me and also what they have going on with their offensive line and stuff like that."
The 305-pound Barnett says he intends to announce a decision sometime before Signing Day, but will decline the opportunity to make his choice at the Under Armour All-American Game this January.
"Nah. I'm not doing that," Barnett said. "Everyone does that."
Rivals.com ranks Barnett as the No. 7 guard and the No. 127 overall prospect in the 2015 class.
