"Maryland offered about a week or two weeks ago and Virginia just offered two days ago," he said. "I talked to Maryland and I'm trying to get down there, but it's hard. Virginia ... I'm going to give them a call today."
Barnes said he hopes to visit Rutgers if the Scarlet Knights decide to offer him. He would likely have to catch a ride with some friends. He will have plenty of time to visit all of these schools, as he doesn't plan on making his decision until Signing Day.
His last trip was to Penn State and he said the visit was a great experience. Now he's lined up to visit one of Penn State's rivals.
"I'm about to take a Michigan trip next week," he said. "That's the Blue and Yellow game, or something like that. I called them one time and they said they want to get out here and meet me in person. They wanted to make sure I have interest in them.
"I'm looking at everyone but some people have been telling me good things about Michigan. I want to get up there and see what the campus looks like. I want to see what the coaches are like, too."
