Barnes ready for busy summer

Madison (Miss.) Madison Central three-star receiver Keenan Barnes holds offers from Louisiana Tech, Louisville, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Memphis, and he is continuing to attract interest from across the country.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound standout named an early top three of Mississippi State, Louisville, and Ole Miss, but he is also quick to point out he is keeping an open mind at this point in the process.

"Right now it's really open to anybody," Barnes said. "Those are the three schools who standout, but there's not much merit in that because I'm just going with the flow right now. I research them but I haven't just pinpointed the schools yet."
In the past, Barnes has also made it clear he is not in a hurry to make a decision, and he continues on that path at this time.
"It's still the same," Barnes said. "One thing about me is when I commit somewhere that's probably where I'm going. I'm committing. At first I wanted to win a state championship and I don't want to rush into a choice that's not beneficial to me. So I'm just going to take my time and sort things out and get through some of my short terms goals and then focus on the other things."
In addition to his offers, he continues to receive interest from the likes of Southern Miss, Louisiana-Lafayette, Alabama, Auburn, Arizona, Missouri, and LSU, and this summer he plans to make the most of his time.
"It's crazy," Barnes said. "I'm going to Mississippi State's camp, Ole Miss, Alabama…I'm going to a camp about 20 minutes down the road at Mississippi College. I'm going to an LSU camp, and a couple of more."
Between camp stops Barnes hopes to play some summer league basketball and workout. However, he has one simple plan as he heads into the summer months.
"I'm just working," Barnes said. "Trying to get some more offers."
