Still have doubts that Detroit Cass Tech defensive tackle Joseph Barksdale is one of the top defensive linemen in the nation?
Check this out.
This past week, Barksdale took an unofficial visit to Ohio State for the Buckeyes' pro day. The visit allowed Barksdale to look around at the pro scouts watching future NFL draft picks work out, plus it gave him a chance to see the Ohio State facilities and meet with some of the coaches.
It also gave Ohio State a chance to do something.
"I took him down there and they offered him on the spot," Detroit Cass Tech assistant coach Charleston Fobbs said. "I've been telling you that he's the best player in Detroit."
He might be right. There are few players that spot a resume of offers – Michigan, Michigan and Ohio State – like Barksdale does.
The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder is also getting heavy interest from Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, Tennessee and Texas.
