Barker adds offer from The U

Burlington (Kent.) Conner quarterback Drew Barker started off his week by finding out he was the No. 153 player in the country in the new Rivals250 and capped it off by picking up a big-time offer.
Barker was offered by Miami Friday, adding to an already impressive list that includes South Carolina and Tennessee among others.

"It's a prestigious offer and I'm very thankful," Barker said via text. "It's a really cool area. I want to visit so I will talk with my parents."
Barker is a pro-style quarterback but can also pull it down and run when needed. He said that since James Coley was hired as Miami's new offense coordinator, he expects the Canes to shift their offense philosophy this fall.
"It will be a different scheme and [Coley] told me they want to have more of a pro-style quarterback but spread it out, too," Barker said. "I watched Florida State a lot last year so if he runs the same offense I think I could definitely see myself playing in it."
Barker is still in the midst of his junior basketball season, but once it wraps up he plans on taking spring visits.
"The only one set in stone is the April 13 Spring Game visit to South Carolina," Barker said. "Of course other visits will come in between but I'm just not sure yet."
