Barfield back from Kentucky

Defensive tackle Shukree Barfield, once a verbal commitment for Clemson, was at Kentucky over the weekend checking out one of his favorites. With only one visit left on his schedule, where do things stand?
"I had a nice time at Kentucky," said Barfield. "They'll be one of the schools I look at right up until the end probably. I talked to all the coaches and they're good guys, and got to see the campus. They don't have too many scholarships left, and they've already gotten a lot of commitments. They're real excited about their class that they're putting together this year."

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive lineman from Camden, N.J. has one visit left to take.
"I'm going to Miami this weekend and that will be the last one I take," he said. "I hear it's supposed to be real fun down there, so I'm excited about that one."
It's been clear for weeks that Barfield's two leaders have been Clemson and Tennessee. Is that still the case?
"Yeah, those two are right up there at top of my list," Barfield started to say. "But I'm really trying to give everyone the same opportunity. So even though those two have a little bit of an edge, that doesn't mean I'm eliminating anyone."
In addition to Miami, Kentucky, Clemson and Tennessee, Barfield is interested in Rutgers. He is rated the No. 54 defensive tackle in the nation and is a 3-star prospect.
