Banneker star gets SEC offer

College Park (Ga.) Banneker defensive tackle Olufemi Ajiboye has quietly risen up the rankings. More and more schools are beginning to take notice in him and he now has his first SEC offer in hand.
"I have been getting calls from South Carolina, Auburn, Georgia and Virgnia Tech," Ajiboye said. "South Carolina recently offered and they want me to set up an official visit with them for sometime in December. I went up there already for the Alabama game and had a good time."

The 6-foot-2, 290-pound Ajiboye attended the Athens NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.43 seconds, the shuttle in 4.83 seconds and did 25 reps on the bench press.
"South Carolina is defenitely on my list now with Virginia Tech, Auburn, Georgia and Virginia Tech," Ajiboye said. "I want to take most of my visits after the season except for Virginia Tech. I really want to take that one during the season so I can check out a game up there."
Ajiboye is ranked as the No. 43 player in Georgia and the nation's No. 53 defensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com.
"Right now we are 2-5 this season, but we've played a brutal schedule," Ajiboye said. "We played Cartersville tough the other night but came up short. That is a team that was in the Dome last year. SO far this season I lead the team in tackles with 41."
In addition to the South Carolina-Alabama game Ajiboye has attended the Auburn-Georgia Tech game and the Georgia-Louisiana Monroe game.
"I don't know if I am going anywhere this weekend or not yet," AJiboye said. "If I do it will probably be somewhere close by because it's tough to go anywhere real far away. I'll just have to check out my ride situation."
