Banks pulls the trigger

We caught up Culver City (Calif.) quarterback Darius Banks moments ago thinking he would be home from his official visit from Eastern Washington. Unfortunately, a snow storm has delayed his flight but the talented signal caller said he has found a new home and is in no hurry to get back home.
"Man, I love it here, I hope the snow storm lasts another week," Banks said. "I found a home man, I committed here yesterday and I can't wait to start up.

"Eastern Washington really didn't start recruiting me until about a week ago. I found out I didn't qualify but they can take Prop 48 players so they called me up and asked if I wanted to visit. I said sure but didn't know what to expect.
"Once I got out here, I just fell in love with the place. The coaches are great and I love the players, I feel like I've known them my whole life, that's how great they have been to me. On top of that, the offense is the same offense we run at Culver City, no huddle, spread so I'm a great fit there.
"Being a prop player means I'll have to sit out next year but then I'll be eligible the following year. So next year will be my redshirt year and then I'll be ready to go. I can't wait, for me, this the right fit and I'm very excited about how everything played out for me. I really couldn't be happier about going to Eastern Washington."
