Bankhead set with Cal

Greyson Bankhead knows some receivers at Cal, he loves the offense and is especially excited that the Golden Bears are playing so well through a couple games this season.
The Corona (Calif.) Centennial three-star receiver has been committed to Cal since early May and Bankhead said this past weekend that he has had zero thoughts of looking at other programs.

"I'm strong on Cal," Bankhead said. "That's my school. That's my future. I'm going to stick with it.
"I know a couple receivers there. I know Bryce Treggs and Kenny Lawler so I'm good friends with people. They put in a good word for me so it's perfect."
Bankhead, a 5-foot-9, 150-pound three-star receiver who also has offers from Arizona and SMU and interest from many other programs, had a strong performance in Corona Centennial's 52-49 victory against Orange Lutheran last weekend at the Honor Bowl.
The Cal commit had a touchdown catch in Week 1 when Centennial's offense was not clicking and Mater Dei took down the Huskies, 38-18. Major showdowns against Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and Long Beach (Calif.) Poly are coming up in the weeks ahead.
There were a lot of frustrations in the first week but Bankhead said the offense is now clicking - he's a big part of the reason why - and he's excited to keep going this season.
"We worked all week and this whole week was just grinding," Bankhead said. "We just had to work on our execution and we came out and did it.
"Last week we played good competition. We played Mater Dei. That's one of the best teams in the nation and it was our first game, we came out rusty. We're back on track. We're back in there."
