Bankhead happy with Cal pledge

Greyson Bankhead loves his role in the Corona (Calif.) Centennial offense.
The three-star wide receiver mainly lines up in the slot, gets open and catches everything thrown his way. He's used a lot, is a major focus in Centennial's high-octane attack and he loves it.

Bankhead, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound receiver, found the same thing at Cal and that's why he's been happily committed to the Golden Bears since early May.
"I fit perfectly in it," Bankhead said of Centennial's offense. "Same thing with Cal, that's why I'm going to Cal, because I fit perfectly in that offense."
Arizona, SMU and others were recruiting Bankhead but once he visited Cal in the spring and saw how he'd be utilized in that offense he was sold it was the right place.
The three-star receiver knows Cal receiver Bryce Treggs and some other players in Berkeley and he said that played a big role in his commitment.
The offense stood out most.
"The people that I know there already and they give me a good opportunity to come in as a freshman and not redshirt and just come in and do my thing," Bankhead said.
Last season was pretty ugly for Cal. The Golden Bears went 1-11 in coach Sonny Dykes' first season but Bankhead still made his commitment this off-season because he felt especially comfortable with the offense.
Cal has been playing much better this season so the Corona Centennial receiver is thrilled about his future in Berkeley.
"Everybody is getting a feel for the coaches and getting used to it," Bankhead said. "It's coming along, that's for sure."
