Bama trying to reel McClain back

Former
Alabama verbal commitment

LeRon McClain may be coming full
circle after having a chance to meet the Crimson Tide's new coach today.
"Mike Price came by to see me at school today," he said.
"He told me that me and (Tuscaloosa County teammate) Terrence Jones were his top
priorities to talk to as soon as possible.
"I really liked the man. He seemed pretty genuine and
straight up with me. If Alabama didn't have a coach by the dead period, I was
probably going to look somewhere else, but I'm very impressed with the coach
they got. If I had to sign today on the spot, it would probably be with
Alabama."
McClain (6-1, 245, 4.65) is a member of the
Rivals100 team and the No. 2
fullback in the nation. He has scheduled visits for Alabama (1/10), Ole Miss
(1/17), Mississippi State (1/24) and UAB (1/31). He said the fifth visit would
go to either Tennessee or Ohio State.
"They're both supposed to call tonight," he said.
"Whoever picks up the phone and calls first, that's who I'm jumping on a plane
to visit this weekend. I'm kind of hoping it's Ohio State. I'd like to check
them out with everything good going on in their program right now.
"All those teams are wide-open for me now. Bama's
looking good, but I want to see what all is out there."
McClain carried the ball 171 times for 1,070 yards and
15 touchdowns as a senior.
