Bama sleeper wants Auburn interest

There always seems to be several sleepers that come out of south Alabama late in the game with several big offers, this year Rivals.com may have pegged one of them early in Mobile (Ala.) Murphy safety Deveais Williams.
"Right now I don't have any offers, but I'm getting a ton of stuff from Clemson," Williams said. "I get stuff everyday from them just about. I get a lot from South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia too. Clemson, Alabama, Troy and West Virginia came by and watched me practice in May."

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Williams ran a 4.53 second electronic 40-yard dash time at the Southern Miss camp over the weekend.
"I haven't gotten the first thing from Auburn yet," Williams said. "I just don't think they know about me. My coach hasn't sent out any tapes or anything yet so no one has seen me. I guess the ones that are recruiting me are going off of what they have heard."
As a junior Williams collected 86 tackles and nine interceptions en route to all-county and all-region honors.
"Clemson is probably my top school right now because they are recruiting me hardest and they aren't recruiting a lot of other defensive backs," Williams said. "I am going to Auburn's camp on July 16 to try and show them something and maybe get them recruiting me. I'm interested in anyone interested in me really."
Williams may not know a lot about the recruiting process yet, but he knows what he is looking for in a school.
"I want a school with good academics," Williams said. "I will be looking at the depth charts to see who they have in there at safety. I know that I am not going to go in and play right away. I know that I will red-shirt and I am fine with playing in year two or year three, but I don't want to waste my time going somewhere that I might not ever play."
