Bama or MSU for elite FB

One
of the nation's elite fullbacks is hoping for a good night's rest and a clear

mind to make his college decision on Tuesday morning.
"It's Mississippi State or Alabama. As of now, I
couldn't tell you which one," said four-star Tuscaloosa County (Ala.) standout
LeRon McClain. "I'm going to do
some real serious thinking about it tonight, sleep on it, and go with my
decision at 9 a.m. (CT) tomorrow morning.
"With Mississippi State, I like their coaches a lot and
the campus life there. I like their business school, too. I'm looking at that
real hard.
"With Alabama, they were my original choice (before de-committing following the departure of Dennis Franchione to Texas A&M.) I think they hired a great coach (Mike Price) and
they've done a lot to get back with me. I love the offense they're going to be
using."
The Crimson Tide may also have an advantage in the form
of McClain's Tuscaloosa County teammate, linebacker Terrence Jones, who
committed to Alabama on Monday.
"It could be, but I gotta be my own man," he said.
McClain (6-1, 245, 4.65) is a member of the
Rivals100 team and the No. 2
fullback in the nation. He carried the ball 171 times for 1,070 yards and 15
touchdowns as a senior.
