Bama, Cuse offer New York DE

Defensive end McKenzie Mathews out of Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brothers already had one offer this recruiting season and has now added to more to his stash.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder has the two additional offers from Alabama and Syracuse (he already had Rutgers), so what does he think about the schools?

"Syracuse is a very good school that I'm familiar with," he said. "While Alabama has been very good historically at football. As for Rutgers, my other offer, they have an up-and-coming program."
Mathews also took in a recent junior day visit to nearby Syracuse. So how did the visit go?
"It was nice up there," he said. "They really tried to sell how much they cared about education, but nothing really stuck out from the visit."
Recently, Mathews has also heard from schools including Michigan, North Carolina, Stanford, Duke, Michigan State, Georgia Tech and others.
This season he posted 45 tackles, 10 that went for loss, 12 ½ sacks, three punt blocks and five deflections.
As for this summer, Mathews still doesn't have any camps scheduled.
