Springboro, Ohio, tight end/defensive end Jake Ballard, a varsity starter since his freshman year, has added four scholarship offers to those he previously had from Boston College, Cincinnati, and Miami of Ohio.
"I have seven offers now," Ballard said. "Boston College, Miami of Ohio, Cincinnati, Indiana, Michigan State, Duke, and Louisville have offered.
"I'm looking at all of them, but I'd say Indiana, Michigan State, and Louisville would be my top choices of those right now.
"And I'm definitely looking at Ohio State and Iowa too. I'd say Ohio State is No. 1, but a lot depends on how I do at their camp.
"I'm going to camps at Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan State, and the NIKE Combine.
"I haven't had a lot of time yet, but I'm going to Ohio State's spring practice April 9. They invited me to their spring game, but I can't make it."
The 6-foot-7 and 245 pound Ballard was his league's defensive player of the year during his junior season.
