An offer from Washington was not discussed when Cody Baker visited for its junior day last weekend, but Baker said it would be a major thing if the Huskies came through.

The three-star defensive end from Bellevue (Wash.) Eastside Catholic said he had an excellent time meeting the new coaching staff and was very impressed by everything he saw during the trip.
"They're a lot different than the last coaching staff," Baker said. "It seems like they're more orderly. There is a different energy but I've seen their numbers and they win a lot so it was nice.
"There is no offer yet. They want me to come out to their spring camps and watch some practice. That would be the next thing for me."
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound standout who has an offer from Wyoming so far in his recruitment said he has some connections to Washington and that could help as his things continue.
"They seem very interested in me," Baker said.
"My high school coach and most of their staff grew up in the same area and coached together for a while so he has a good relationship with them. We'll be staying in contact a lot."
There is no question an offer from Washington would be huge for Baker, who's expected at the Rivals Camp in Northern California next month. Oregon State and Idaho are also showing a lot of early interest in the 2015 recruit.
"That would be huge," Baker said of a Washington offer. "Growing up here and playing for the hometown team would be awesome."
