Baker scheduling visits

Jamestown (N.C.) Ragsdale running back Toney Baker continues to list a top five of North Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. A rash of recent transfers and commitments involving a number of schools in his top five appears to have little effect on his eventual decision.
With Bobby Washington and Barrington Edwards transferring to North Carolina State and North Carolina respectively, and Elan Lewis giving a commitment to Virginia Tech, you might think the backfield situation at each of those schools might become crowded.

“I’m not really interested in who’s coming in or who’s on the depth chart in front of me,” explained Baker. “All of those schools along with Tennessee and Virginia will have running backs come in and have backs on the roster. I’ll commit where I feel the most comfortable, despite who’s on the roster.”
Baker and his teammates are off to a 2-1 start on the season following a heart-breaking defeat at the hands of Western Guilford two weeks ago, 43-42. In the game Baker rushed for 240 yards and two touchdowns.
“We’re playing really well as a team, even though we lost that last one,” admitted Baker. “I’m feeling really comfortable in the offense and very fresh on the field. I’ve rushed for over 700 yards so far and eight touchdowns I believe.”
Baker plans to take official visits to each of the schools in his top five, but also plans to take some unofficial visits as well.
“I was at Tennessee this past weekend for the Florida game, it was a good time,” explained Baker. “I hoping to get to see games at both of the Virginia schools, I’ve never seen a game at either and it’s important to see the game atmosphere there.”
Baker admitted he may also take a look at Clemson, although the Tigers have not cracked Baker’s top five as of this article.
