Baker off to a great start

Canfield, Ohio, two-star safety Sean Baker has gotten off to a solid start. His team is 4-1 on the season and honestly he feels like Canfield should be 5-0 on the season.
"We left Canton South get by us," Baker, who is 6-foot and 186 pounds, said.

"We had them. It was 17-14 in the first half and then they came out after half and got a pass interference call that put them at the 1-yard line. It kind of snowballed from there. We have Niles coming up this week, and I don't know if there is a really true tough team on the rest of our schedule.
"We should finish 9-1 heading into the playoffs."
Baker's strong team effort is also turning into a strong individual effort.
"I've got 10 touchdowns on offense, an 87-yard fumble return for a touchdown and around 30 tackles so far. I'm a lot better with my coverage skills, and my footwork has gotten a lot better. Last year, I was more of a linebacker, but this year I'm all over the field. I just feel more explosive."
With four offers on the table from Kent, Eastern Michigan, Ball State and Vanderbilt, Baker is just enjoying the recruiting process.
"West Virginia is real interested," Baker said. "They call me every week. I was at the West Virginia game when they hosted Maryland. I love it down there. I love the environment. I love the campus, and I also like how the weight room is right on the field.
"Minnesota was at the Canton South game. They called and asked for film on me. I'm also talking to Purdue, Akron, Miami of Ohio and Vanderbilt called two nights ago."
But Baker doesn't seem to be in a rush to make a pick.
"If the right one pops up, then I'll take it," he said. "But I'm mainly taking it as a wait and see situation."
