Baker nears decision

Osceola, Ark., receiver Chris Baker has been the center of attention for opponents this season, causing his stats to not be quite where he wants them to be. That happens when you're the top player in the state.
And as the top player in the state of Arkansas, it looks like the Hawgs are about to get a pledge from the 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver.

"I pretty much have my mind set on the Hawgs," Baker said after watching the Hawgs drop a tough one against Tennessee this past weekend.
"I haven't committed yet, but I pretty much know that I'm going to Arkansas."
Baker lists Tennessee and Ole Miss as the other teams he's interested in. So why the Hawgs?
"Did you watch the game this weekend," Baker said. "They need somebody that can give a spark to the team. I think I can do that."
Because of the focus on him, Baker has yet to reach the end zone this season. But the good news is that his team is 2-0 on the season.
