Baker is one of Carolinas best
Jamestown (N.C.) Ragsdale running back Toney Baker has already racked up 10 scholarship offers. Baker, a highly-touted prospect, has an early top five. Does Baker have a leader?
"No, I don't have leader," said the 5-foot-10, 215-pound running back who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds.

Who is Baker's top five?
"I like North Carolina State, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee. I have offers from each of them and about five others but those schools are the ones that I am most interested in."
As a junior, Baker rushed for 3,411 yards on 311 carries. He rushed for 41 touchdowns. Baker expects more attention in the coming months. What does Baker look for in a school?
"I want to make an impact right away. I want to go to a school that has impressive academic credentials and I just want to feel comfortable on and off the football field."
Baker is also a standout track athlete. Baker qualified for the North Carolina state track meet in the shot put and 55 meters. Baker's personal best in the shot put is 54.9 feet and 6.3-seconds in the 55 meters.
