Baines hoping for more interest

Fresh off a big-time senior season in which he put up solid numbers on both sides of the ball Ronald Baines is hoping the start of 2011 brings him increased interest from the schools that have been recruiting him.
East Carolina offered Baines a scholarship last year but it's not exactly clear where the Pirates stand right now on the 6-foot, 179-pound cornerback from Vorhees (N.J.) Eastern.

Not even Baines knows what to make of his relationship with East Carolina at the moment.
"I just haven't talked to them in a while," Baines said of ECU. "I'm sure they're still interested. I just need to talk to him."
When asked what schools are showing serious interest right now Baines mentioned West Virginia, FIU, James Madison, and Maine.
"Some schools are still recruiting me. Right now it's a dead period so schools can't talk to you, but I had been hearing from those schools.
"Right now I'm just trying to figure out which schools I want to visit."
He's also waiting to find out which schools might be willing to extend an offer.
Baines had a big senior season at Eastern this fall. Offensively he rushed for 700 yards and on defense he recorded 50 tackles (40 solo). His team struggled to a 1-9 record.
