Bain will set two Big Ten visits soon
Bolingbrook (Ill.) four-star defensive tackle prospect Ryan Bain (6-foot-2, 250 pounds) left the Raiders 48-0 win over Bradley after the second quarter with an injury. Bain talks about his scare on Friday night as well as an update on his latest recruiting news.

“I was just about to get a sack in the second quarter," Ryan Bain said. “I was about to get to the quarterback when one of my teammates accidentally cut my legs from underneath me. I was hurting for a minute or so, and I still need to watch the tape to see exactly what happened. I'm fine, and I probably could have played the rest of the game, but we were up like 38-0 at the time, so the coaches decided to keep me out just in case."
Bain is planning to set official visit dates soon to two Big Ten schools.
"I'm still planning to make an official visit to Minnesota, and I'm going to reschedule that date," he said. "I'm also going to set an official visit as well to Purdue. I like both schools and those are two visits I'm planning on taking. I just need to sort out some dates with the coaches so that they won't interfere with my wrestling season."
To say that the Raiders (4-3) 48-0 win over Bradley (5-2) last Friday night was huge for playoff purposes is an understatement.
"We really needed that win on Friday, and I would say that the Bradley game was our best overall game so far this year. We were really clicking on both sides of the ball, yet we also know that we can play much, much better from here on out. We play Stagg this week, and we haven't beaten Stagg in two years. If we win we'll be assured getting into the playoffs, and then we can also play Andrew in Week 9 for a conference title. We just want to keep getting better each week and winning games. We have some momentum going into this week, that's for sure."
Bain was named earlier last week to the US Army All American Bowl game, to be played in San Antonio in January.
