Bain may move announcement date back
Bolingbrook, Ill., standout Ryan Bain is back from his official visit to Minnesota and has now finished taking trips. But that doesn't mean he's close to a decision.
"I've finished my visits," Bain said. "I went to Purdue, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota.

"I was at Minnesota this weekend. I liked it, I really did. I liked a lot of things. I got along with the players really well. I got along with all the coaches. And I liked the town.
"I haven't made a decision yet. Pretty much all four schools are still in it. I don't have a favorite.
"I was supposed to announce Jan. 15 at the Army All-American Bowl game. But I might not be ready by then."
The 6-foot-2, 235 pound Bain is the No. 20 defensive tackle prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 7 prospect in the state of Illinois. He has started at middle linebacker for Bolingbrook since his sophomore year, but some recruiters project him as a defensive lineman in college.
