Moss Point (Miss.) cornerback C.J. Bailey enjoyed his official visit to Southern Mississippi during the weekend and is close to making a final decision.
"I liked how everything is close," Bailey said. "I liked the size of the campus. It was well-maintained."
The 5-foot-10, 187-pound Bailey will visit Memphis next weekend and make a final decision. He previously visited Louisiana-Lafayette the weekend of Jan. 13.
Bailey got a chance to sit down and meet with Golden Eagles head coach Jeff Bower.
"He told me that they wanted me and that they could use me on defense right away," Bailey said.
The two-star rated Bailey is being recruited to Southern Miss by Golden Eagles offensive line coach Mitch Rodrigue.
"He's a great guy," Bailey said. "He's truthful. He's got a great family and he's a good person."
Chris Rumph is recruiting Bailey for Memphis.
