TAMPA, Fla. - Rivals250 wide receiver Alvin Bailey of Seffner (Fla.) Armwood has narrowed his list down to single digits.
"It is down to eight," Bailey said. "It is down to UCF, Georgia, Florida State, Texas A&M, Auburn, South Carolina, Michigan, and Notre Dame."
While eight schools remain in the picture, Bailey admits that four are sticking out.
"UCF, Georgia, South Carolina, and Michigan - they really stand out," Bailey said. "I just like those schools. They are all powerhouse schools. They all have a different specialty to them."
Rumors have persisted that the top two for the talented four-star wideout are likely the Gamecocks and Knights, as of this time. Bailey talked about what stood out when he visited each of those two.
"I went to South Carolina recently," Bailey said. "I was with Coach (Steve) Spurrier, I talked with both of the Coach Spurriers, and I spent a little time with (offensive lineman) Cody Waldrop, my old teammate. It was great just being there, getting around and seeing what the campus is about.
"I like everything about UCF," Bailey added. "I love the feeling I get with the coaches there. They are great coaches. It is not too far and it is not too close to home. They are coming up. You have to be different and go to a different school. You don't always want to be the same as everyone else. That is why I like them."
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound wide receiver is likely to take a pair of visits in the near future.
"Me and my mom should be taking a visit to Georgia probably next weekend," Bailey said. "I am probably going to UCF this week, maybe Tuesday."
As for a decision, the talented athlete from Central Florida isn't sure if it will be in the near future or towards the end of the calendar year.
"I don't know," Bailey said. "I will talk with my family about making a decision. I will probably do it either before the season or at the Under Armour Game."
During his junior season, Bailey was a versatile offensive weapon for Armwood. He caught 22 passes for 404 yards and three touchdowns. He also completed 49 passes for 875 yards and 12 passing touchdowns. On the ground, he rushed 109 times for 872 yards and scored six rushing touchdowns.
