Badgers reel in Rivals250 QB Coan

Wisconsin has a pretty good history at the quarterback position but they just landed their highest rated signal caller of all-time. Sayville, N.Y. quarterback and new Wisconsin commit Jack Coan is currently ranked No. 215 in the Rivals250.

"I just really loved Wisconsin, the town of Madison, and I really loved the coaching staff," said the 6-foot-4, 190-pound Coan. "I love the way coach Chryst coaches the quarterbacks. The academics are really good. I really felt comfortable while I was there and that’s why I chose them."

Coan visited Wisconsin about two weeks ago and he really connected with Paul Chryst.

"It was just the feeling when I got there," he said. "Right from the beginning I felt like it was the place. Everybody talks about how I would go to a college and I would get that feeling. Talking to the whole coaching staff, I really liked them and they’re a bunch of great people. I could see myself playing for them.

"Coach Chryst talked about how much I fit into their system, how he coaches the quarterbacks, and how many quarterbacks he’s put into the NFL," Coan said. "He’s a great person, a genuinely nice person."

Coan is going to be an early enrollee.
