Badgers in on South Florida DB

One of the top programs in the Big Ten has been giving Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage cornerback prospect Dominique Battle serious attention lately, inviting the Palm Beach County, Fla., standout up for an unofficial visit.
"Coach Dave Doeren at Wisconsin has been texting me and they want me to come up there and visit on March 23," Battle said. "I am making arrangements to get up there. I am going to fly up there to Madison."

The 6-foot, 165-pounder has high interest in the Badgers.
"I'm definitely interested in them," he said. "They are in the Big Ten and one of the favorites to win the Big Ten and they have great academics. They are in the top 10 in academics."
Battle also has unofficial visits to Virginia and Georgia Tech on March 30 and 31, respectively.
"Coach Jeep Hunter from Georgia Tech has been text messaging me," he said.
There are two other programs that have shown some interest in Battle.
"I'm still waiting to hear back from Arizona State," he said. "I haven't heard from coach Matt Lubick at Arizona State in a while and Coach D.J. McCarthy at LSU gave my tape to the defensive back coach, Doug Mallory to see what he thought and then he's going to get back to me."
Battle had 50 tackles and three interceptions during his junior season.
