At one point things were looking pretty good for three-star quarterback Brandon Hill.
The New Jersey native held an offer from Rutgers and was close to receiving several others. Events that took place involving other recruits changed that, and now the 6-foot-5, 210-pound prospect is back to square one.
"The Maine coach was wanting me to send in my highlights but I don't have his e-mail address," Hill explained. "I had an offer from Rutgers but they had a kid commit. I had just got an offer from Delaware and they just had a kid commit, too. They were really rushing me. Purdue was about to offer me and then they got one of the guys they had offered. I guess I got beat three times and now I have to wait.
"I don't really know who needs a quarterback so I'll have to wait and see. I'm just working on getting my name out there."
Hill knows of just one school that is still interested, and even they haven't offered.
"Miami wants to come out and watch me. I'm not sure which coaches will come but they've been showing the most interest. I really want to go there. They said they're going to wait to see me during the season, so I'll have to wait for that. That's really the only school talking to me right now. I've been in contact with their coaches a lot."
Hill completed 170 of 260 passes with 15 touchdowns and just four interceptions as a junior.
