Back on the market

One of the top quarterbacks in the nation is back on the market.
Willoughby (Ohio) South three-star quarterback Patrick Nicely has backed away from his commitment to Bowling Green, according to his father.

"Patrick has re-opened the recruiting process," Tim Nicely, Patrick's father, said. "Bowling Green is not in the mix now."
Former Bowling Green coach Gregg Brandon was fired by the school after his team went 6-6 this season, and former Tennessee coordinator Dave Clawson was named the new head coach on Friday. It now looks like Nicely and Clawson have decided to part ways and move a different direction.
Of the schools that have increased their recent interest in Nicely, he said he thinks Central Michigan and Kent State are closest to offering.
Akron has also offered and Nicely is planning an official visit there the weekend of Jan. 17. Toledo has also offered Nicely and the Rocket's recently hired Matt Campbell, Nicely's previous recruiting coach at Bowling Green.
Nicely is ranked as the nation's No. 18 pro-style quarterback.
