Bachie weighing game invitations

Berea, Ohio class of 2016 linebacker Joe Bachie holds four early offers and has heard from additional schools since the start of September.
"I've talked to Bowling Green and Illinois," Bachie said. "They want me to come down and watch the games."

Bowling Green and Illinois are two of the schools that have already offered, along with Toledo and Youngstown State. Additional schools are looking to see the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Bachie on their campuses this fall as well.
"I have been invited to a bunch of other college's games," Bachie said. "Northwestern, I went there for a camp, and they sent me a letter and also want me to come down for a game. I really would like to see a Northwestern game. Nebraska has sent me stuff for games. Indiana, West Virginia also sent me stuff for games."
Bachie has not scheduled any game visits this fall, but knows he will see one of the schools that has offered him already.
"I think I want to go to an Illinois game soon," Bachie said. "Coach (Mike) Ward and Coach (Tim) Beckman stay in touch with me a lot. The first time I went down there I didn't realize how nice actual stadium was until I got inside of it. When I get down there for a game I want to see the whole campus and check out everything that is around there."
As his recruitment progresses, Bachie would like to hear more from the Ohio State Buckeyes.
"The main school I've always liked is Ohio State," Bachie said. "The thing that killed me this summer was we had a 7-on-7 for high school and I sprained my ankle two days before I was supposed to go to their Friday Night Lights Camp. I went downt here to check out everything, but couldn't do much."
Despite being unable to perform at their camp this summer, Bachie has had some interaction with the Buckeyes during the recruiting process.
"I emailed them before and Coach (Stan) Drayton came to our school," he said. "I talked with him after the camp and he said send him the first two scrimmages and week one highlights, so that is what I did."
Bachie has helped Berea to a 2-1 record this season. He recorded 14 tackles in game one and is over 30 total tackles for the season from his middle linebacker position.
