Babin the Bayou Bomber

Gonzales (La.) St. Amant quarterback Brian Babin is considered to be one of the top 10 players in the state of Louisiana. And after throwing for 2,675 yards and 23 touchdowns it’s easy to see why.
Babin posses a strong arm – strong enough that he’s also going to be a serious college baseball or major league draft candidate – and all the intangibles that you’re looking for in a signal-caller.

“I’m a fierce competitor and a leader,” Babin, who has a 3.0-grade point average and a 16 on the ACT, said. “My sports hero is Eli Manning, and I compare myself to him quite a bit.”
It’s no surprise that Ole Miss is one of his top two teams, along with in-state power LSU. Babin plans to camp at both schools this summer, along with making a trek to Tuscaloosa to camp with the Crimson Tide.
“I’m mainly looking at two things in a school,” Babin said. “I want to get a good education and I want to play for a great football program. I’ve always followed LSU and Ole Miss, but I’m open to finding the right fit.”
Along with LSU, Ole Miss and Alabama, Babin said he’s getting heavy attention from Florida, Iowa and Michigan. He’s yet to receive his first scholarship offer but that’s sure to come – especially with a rifle of an arm like he has.
