Babalola piling up offers

Bryan, Texas offensive tackle Yemi Babalola has been keeping his phone lines tied up with college coaches calling him.
“Things are going real well,” the 6-foot-4, 290-pound Babalola said. “I’ve had several schools calling when they are allowed to since the first of the month. I have talked to coaches from Baylor, Texas A&M, Houston, Kansas, Iowa State and Arizona.”

While several schools have called, three have laid offers on the table and a couple others are headed in that direction.
“I have offers from Iowa State, Kansas and Houston already. Baylor told me tonight they would probably be offering me soon and Texas A&M has told me they will be offering me a scholarship. I don’t have anything formally from those two at this time.”
Bablola has a school in the top slot, but isn’t ready to end the recruiting process, even if the formal offer were to come.
“A&M is No. 1 right now for me,” he said. “I’m not committing to them or anything yet. But, I really like them and the situation at the school for the future.”
Bablola was able to take in the Aggies’ season opener.
“I went to the Arkansas State game in College Station,” he said. “It was a little closer than everyone would have liked. But they won. I talked to all of the coaches when I was there.”
Babalola does not have any visits lined up, official or unofficial.
“Nothing is lined up yet,” he said. “I will look at getting some unofficials in if it works out. But, the official trips, those will come later on.”
