Wide receiver B.J. Vickers (6-3, 207, 4.5) from Venice, Calif., is sure living up to his pre-season hype and is having a tremendous senior season. His offers seem to grow with every pass reception. Vickers currently stands with 28 offers to date.
Vickers has been phenomenal in eight games as a senior. He as has latched onto 44 passes for 1,087 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Vickers has taken one trip to Oregon. “I liked it,” Vickers said. “I enjoyed myself there.”
Vickers will also visit Tennessee but the date hasn’t been set yet.
“I haven’t thought much about other visits yet,” Vickers said. “We still have some football left.”
Washington State, Cal, Texas and Michigan State are in the hunt for the three remaining visits.
Vickers was asked if the controversy surrounding the Spartan program would deter him from Michigan State and he said no.
What does have Vickers want in a school?
“A good coaching staff, receiver depth, good academic support and an environment where I will be happy,” Vickers said.
