AZ corner lands offer No. 2

After his standout performance at the NIKE Camp at Purdue and a quick scholarship offer from Stanford, we thought things would really pick up for Chandler (Ariz.) Basha defensive back Quinn Evans. To our surprise, the Cardinal remained the lone offer for Evans but that finally changed earlier today.
Evans, 5-10, 170 pounds was one of the top three corners we saw at the NIKE Camp at Purdue. Evans showed excellent feet and hips and was very crisp in the position and one-on-one drills. He's already very polished for a high school corner and should make a smooth transition when he hits college.

"Northwestern just offered me," Evans said. "I'm excited because Northwestern is a school I like a lot and I've always been a Big 10 guy. I've been keeping in touch with them for awhile now and it's good to have my second offer so I have two schools to compare with one another.
"I'm going to take unofficial visits to both Stanford and Northwestern this summer. I just want to get a good feel for the campuses and area at both locations. I was going to camp with Ohio State and Wisconsin but I tweaked my ankle a little and I don't want to go there when I'm not 100%.
"Right now, my top schools are Stanford, Northwestern, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Arizona State. I don't really know when I'll make a commitment right now. I'm looking for a school where I'll be able to bond with the coaches, that's going to be a big deal for me. When I think I'm ready, I'll go ahead and do it but I have no idea right now when that will be."
