Dontae Aycock is a four-star running back prospect from Tampa (Fla.) Chamberlain High School. Aycock, who plays quarterback, has led his team to a 5-0 record. He has passed for over 500 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for over 500 yards and 11 touchdowns.
"I have been in this offense two years now," Aycock said. "I feel very comfortable and I am running the ball better."
Aycock has finally narrowed his school choices down. For months he had been considering all the schools that have offered him a scholarship. That number was more than two dozen. Now that number is under ten.
"My top four are Georgia Tech, Louisville, South Carolina and Ole Miss.
"We run the same offense as Georgia Tech and they look great this season. They want me to play quarterback.
"I have only seen Louisville once this season. I like the running backs (Tony Alford) coach. He came down last week and I had a good talk with him. I have a connection with them and I am excited about Louisville. It will be a good place to go and I need to take a visit.
"I have seen South Carolina a few times and I like how they play. I also like coach (David) Reaves. South Carolina is a good place.
"I watched Ole Miss beat Florida. They have been there from the beginning. Ole Miss was the second or third team to offer me. I like their offense. They like me as an athlete."
Aycock will begin to make his visits in December although he has not set up any at this time. He's still considering four schools for the final visit.
"Duke, UCF, Illinois, and West Virginia are the schools I am considering for that last visit. Right now I am open."
